So, I wanted to spend some time for the kids. I have a 5 year old and she’s getting old enough now where I could start teaching her to code. Now, I don’t really want my kids to be coders. I really think there’s things out there better to do than just code all day. Embarrassed as I am to admit it, I’ve always want to own my own successful business.
I say successful, because I know full well what it’s like to own an unsuccessful business. I watched my family business (women’s clothing) rise and fall over 2 decades and completely collapse in the 90s.
Regardless, it’s good to know how things get done logically. Hopefully, she can hire coders some day to make her richer in her business.
All that aside, I came across Scratch. It’s a free online tool for coding simple animations, games and other logic puzzles.
I am attaching my intro in this blog. Take the time to watch it, try it and do a project. Just 1 time through this and you’ll get what it’s like, even on a small level, to be a coder.
